Maybe it is just superstitious, or just me, but I like to take a little of the loob I use on my boolits, put some on patch and run through my handgun barrels. Kinda like writing with a crayon on the patch until the patch is slightly colored, but I like to have just a thin coating in the bore.

Anyone else do it?

I run a kroil patch, and then follow up with 2 dry patches when done. Best cold bore results I've found.

So long as it stays away from ammunition and primers!!!!!!! I run it down barrels too, but not on any weapons I keep loaded.

A clean barrel takes a shot, nothing works as good as a shot.

You mean you're supposed to clean your handgun? LOL

I have always just cleaned my revolver, final patch with a little Remoil through the cylinder chambers and barrel and good to go. Final wipe down overall with oily rag.

I TL all of my cast with Alox/paste wax so in my case, I wouldn't be too keen on wiping down the bore with that. LOL
