So I went and looked this over and picked it up today, just not sure if I'll keep it. It has a good size split in the stock, although i'm sure it shouldn't get any worse being a .22. Overall the stock was dry and needed a good oiling.

It has a Lyman front peep sight, and what's left of a Lyman 48J on the rear, as well as a 10x Lyman Junior Targetspot scope on it. Any thoughts on a good price in this condition?

Thanks!

WOW! I have one just like that 800+ numbers earlier than yours. Purchased by my brother in 1948, mine was born in 1947, also has the same scope on mine. Do you have all 3 magazines that came with it?

No unfortunately not, just 1 Winchester mag….that's very cool though that you have one only about 800 earlier than this one though.

I'm hunting for the hand stop to complete mine. It was the first firearm I shot at 5 or 6, we had a rifle range in our pasture.

Value on these usually run in the $1,000 to $1,500 dollar range. I wait to see what others say.
