My oldest Lyman reloading manual is the 46th edition and the 41032 mold isn't listed in it. I was hoping one you fellows might have an older edition with this mold's data. I would appreciate it if you could scan the load table for this mold and post or email it to me.

Got this one off of ebay last week and cast up a couple hundred yesterday. Then I couldn't find the specifics for it in the Lyman manuals I have on hand. I'm not planning on hotrodding anything but their recommended accuracy loads are often a good place to start.

Its not in the 1973 cast boolit handbook. Doesn't even list it.

I even looked in the 46th edition page 152, that lists mold #s and edition they are in. Nuttin.

Shooters bible ref.faulty as to GC,I think, serves me right for not doublechecking...esp.since a 41 blackhawk fell into my pickup while parked at the gunshop y'day...!!!

It is listed in the 44th and 45th editions. It looks exactly like the Castpics picture. Y&ou shouldn't have any problems useing the 48ths data shown for the 410610.

Lyman #41032 was listed in their annual catalogs from 1963 through 1991, a Keith-ish SWC but with a longer nose. As Onceabull says, it is listed in the Lyman Second Edition Cast Bullet handbook (1973) at weights from 200 to 225 grs. in #2 alloy - the heaviest MAY have been a gas-check, and the 200 - 212 gr. "standard" versions MAY have been short-cherried to eliminate the GC shank. CBH#2 does not give loading data for it, but the loads for use with the 212-gr. RN #41028 (which has the same grease and crimp grooves) on p. 160 should work for #41032 in the .41 Mag. (These cherry numbers were "recycled" from an old round-ball mould #25728 and from the heel-crimp #31032 for the old 8mm Swiss Ordonnance revolver - both these are in the CASTPICS lineup from Handbook No. 9 of 1897, if anyone is interested.) floodgate

The mold I bought produces a SWC with a plain base .4115 to .412" and weighs about 237 grains with my alloy. It has the appearanceof the bullet listed in the lyman CastPics section with that number. I guess I ned to get a really old Lyman manual for the accuracy load.

Thanks for looking, guys.

The accuracy load as listed in both the 44th and 45th is 10.0 gr. of Unique. It is extremely accurate out of a 6 1/2" Blackhawk with bullets sized 0.410" of wheelweights. The load is a maximum load also.

45 2.1,

Thanks! I really like Unique in revolvers. I will approach the max from well below, sizing to .410" and lubing w/ Javelina Alox. Especially since they have changed the formulation of Unique slightly.
