Hi everyone, This is my first post (and I swear I searched every concoction of 32-20 i could think of with no match's found, somehow). I recently picked up a 4th change S+W 1905 in 32-20. And being target plinking was my intended purpode i ordered 1000 98gr full wadcutters .314. Now I find that this is a very uncommon bullet for 32-20, and I cant find any loading data for them at all. I could seat em out long and use regular 100gr data, but then I couldn't carry a handful in my pocket without soiling the lube groove that would be exposed. Does anyone have a pet load for a fully seated fwc in 32-20 using Unique powder preferably?? Thanks a bunch in advance Shawn.

Shawn,
I would simply opt to use the starting load 4.0g with Uniq. of and seat them flush to the mouth as normal WC seat, and just enough crimp to fold back over the bell.

From my old pitted bore S&W 32 Wcf: LEE wadcutter sized .314". 2.5 grains of Bullseye, flush seated. 3" at 50 yds. Not the best boolit, but not bad. The RCBS 98 Gr. Swc is super accurate, but a little light for the fixed sights on these guns. Good luck.

Thanks guys, I had been worried the extra seating depth would reek havoc on the pressure curve. I will make up a handfull seated to the crimp groove and report back. And if I can pull 3'' at 50yds I'll have a smile you can see from space.

The load I listed seemed pretty mild, I probably just took a stab at what I thought would be a mild wadcutter load. It might shoot better faster. The RCBS 98 Swc has been my most accurate .32 boolit out of a pair of .32 S&W Longs, and a pair of .32 Wcf's.

Shawn, try https://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=001951264366462437169:ggn3vg-bjum as a search engine. It was setup especially for us at cast boolits. Really works better. I have a 32 s&w long and love to shoot the 93 gr. lee cast boolit. They are a fun shooting guns.

Okay I made up 10 Magnus 98gr WC sized .314 seated to the crimp groove over 3.3 gr of Unique lit with WSPM primers. These gave me 750fps and a 2 1/2inch group at 20 yd about an inch high. No leading in the 10 test rounds and my group was with a shaky hold on a tree stump so I have made 95 more to test more thoroughly. Thanks Fella's Will check into that google link. Thanks Again.
