Going to teach a friend of mine to load for his .41 Mag. He's already ponyed up the cash for me to order brass, dies, shell holder, etc. If I want Remington or Winchester brass, I can get everything at a LGS. If Star Line is the go to brass, then once I pay for the shipping, might as well order it all online. Intent is to load mild to mid, he so far has no interest in heavy, but I suspect that will change in the future. I normally use Star Line for all my pistol brass, no specific reason, it's just what I've always used. No experience on the longevity of Rem or Win.

If Starline is an option, it's always the first choice. If you buy direct from them, they're cheaper than anyone else anyway.

Starline. Best price and until you go to Lapua or Norma best quality.

Starline it is then! Funny thing, even when ordering through a vendor, its still cheaper than the other two.

Now's the time to order it if you want it: https://www.starlinebrass.com/brass-cases/41-Mag-Brass/index.cfm

Starline sells it cheaper to the public then you will get it from a LGS. If you need it now then you're stuck paying their price. There is no shipping charge when ordering direct from Starline.

I have had good luck with Starline brass. I have also had good luck with Winchester in the old days. Can't speak for their current production cause I don't know.

I use Starline and WW for my silhouette competition loads. They are thicker walled and crimp a little better. I use the R-P for lighter plinking loads, cause I have a lot of it.

Starline. Then R-P, although lately I've been culling a lot of R-P 41 brass lately......of course it is almost 30 years old.

I just bought some Starline .45 Colt brass from a member here. Starline would have been a little cheaper but it was on backorder and said not available until 3/17. With my luck, it would be sold out before I could put my order in. I like dealing with people here anyway although my experience with Starline has always been good.

Just rcvd 500 rds of Starline 41 brass for my shootin partner's M57. Loaded the first hundred of em and it appears to be primo. They had just published that a new batch was ready, so we ordered this. From the looks of this thread you'd better hurry or you might have to wait on the next batch.

Never bought any Starline brass. However, I've used R-P, Win, Fed and Midway .41 Mag cases without issues. I start out with first 5 reloads heavy, next 5 loadings med level and then 5 light police/special loadings. I've got some Winchester cases that I've reloaded 17 times and they haven't failed yet.

Starline will take back orders and then fill orders on a first come, first served basis.

Gonna go way out on a limb here and recommend Starline, lol. My preference is pretty much in the order listed above; RP is the brass I use most because of availability and acceptable quality. I'll use WW when I have to except for .38 Spl where it becomes my first choice, have worn out thousands of pieces of it.

Starline had great 41mag cases when I bought them. 2nd choice would be Winchester.

What I'd like to know is where in the world can you find them all in stock so you have a choice? Oh, and Starline is what I use in my .41, great stuff.

Couldn't find them all in stock at one place. Probably a good thing. Spent a while checking different sites and some of the local stores. Would have made the wife proud! By buying certain things online, and certain things in a store, saved enough on the whole setup to get a LnL powder measure too, only had to chip in an extra 11 bucks. Dudes not only going to get me to teach him a bit about loading, but comparison shopping as well!
