I cast some 124 gr. 9mm boolits in the Lee 6-holer. Loaded some of them with mid-range 124gr. lead loads from Speer No. 13--that's 4.0 to 4.5 grains of Unique.

Checked the load database in the sticky (after I loaded--wrong order of operations) and the author used 3.7 gr. Unique.

Anyone with personal experience with this bullet and Unique?

I load the 125 grain from Lee and the data should be similar. The following link will give you an Alliant loading manual with data for most of their powders. It lists data for unique with a 125 gr lead bullet at a max of 5.5 grains.

my manual lists the 125gr lead bullet and a max of 5.5 but i think you will find easier accuracy between 4-4.5 gr

make sum dummy loads , then pull them down and measure to make sure your not sizing them down when you put them in the case , I found a taper crimp die to just take the bell of the cases was just right for my loads in 9mm

4.5 grains of Unique is my standard load with 124 grain lead round nose. Works great for me.
