Has anyone noticed a change in titegroup? The last jug I bought , last year, was heavier by volume & produced less speed for the same charge weight. It also seemed to burn cooler.

Nothing new about powders. Been varying from lot to lot since powders have been produced.

We Know Mass Cannot Be Weighed But It Has Newtonian Weight And That Is Derived From Kilograms And Kilograms Can Be Converted to Pounds. But, Still Mass Cannot Be Weighed. But How is the kilograms obtained? Can Kilograms Be Weighed? Evidentally Yes It Can. But, Still Mass Cannot Be Weighed So Kilograms Must Not Exist. Funny Isn't It. .

One Kilogram weighs 10 Newtons on Earth or about 1 and a half Newtons on the Moon. Of course mass can be weighed, weight is defined as the force exerted to support a mass under local gravity. Nothing funny there.

On the serious side, can you give us the weight of 1cc of your powder or some other volume that we can use? Also, the country yours is made in. They can can manufactors w/o saying anything.

I have a pound that I bought last year.

I 'm aware that powder varies from lot to lot but this . is more than I've ever seen before. A fixed measure that had always dropped 4.8 now drops 5.2gr. A 230 gr.RN over 4.8gr. of the old lot crono. 833fps. goes 756fps. over 4.8gr. of the new, this was in a 45 ACP.

This is simply what I would do. tomorrow I would get on the phone and call Hodgdon. I would have my info at hand stating the primer, case, brand and type of bullet and gun plus the lot numbers of the two different powders.
I would ask them to give you a reasonable answer to the "problem" not just a canned answer to appease the masses.
That is what I would do.
That is why a company has customer service and/or a tech service.
Maybe a "lot" of powder got out that is out of spec.
Who knows. At least you will be getting whatever answer you get from the horses mouth not an answer from any of us that are speculators at some level or another that may be based on an educated guess or an uneducated guess

I couldn't hold it back any longer. Can only let things like that go for only so long.

I already knew that it can be weighed.
1 Kg is 9.8067544 Newtons
1 pound is 4.3780146 Newtons
A 240 gr bullet weighs .1525548 Newtons.
I weigh 938.84989 Newtons.

Have you checked all your equipment? For instance, check your scale or powder measure and so on. Maybe something has caused a change in the scale. Maybe there is wear in the beam supports. Or something is bent.

It's fixed measure & 2 different scales show less than .05gr difference. This not a problem ,just seemed like a larger than normal varyation
