Hello, I recently picked up a new ria 10mm. Took it to florida and killed 2 hogs with factory ammo. I switched out the recoil spring to a 20#. Also nixed the plastic msh to steel. Wanting to know if any of you would suggest a good cast bullet and powder( not necessarily a particular load). Thinking minimum 180 grain but probably 200 grain. I have 2400, unique, and clays. Also, if you suggest a bullet would you please let me know where to buy them? Thanks a bunch!

I haven't shot much cast through my 10mm. I have shot a few hundred HDY XTP 200gr with a max charge of Longshot. Yielded good accuracy and velocity to boot.

I believe there was a group buy by Oreo that would work? Should still be over in the group buy section. I believe he designed it initially for 10mm then adapted it a bit for 40 s&w also. Might be worth wandering over and checking it out.

My heavy 10mm boolit is the SAECO 200gr TCBB which is available from several different retail sources. Several different powders can be used but I happen to have started with AA#7 which I continue to use to the present time. At the moment I can't recall the exact load I'm currently using but I think it's in the neighborhood of 10gr plus/minus a couple of tenths of a grain.

I use the 200gr mold by OREO and love it, the solids have killed 2 hogs so far but if all goes well this coming fall I'm going to try the Cup Point on some texas hogs. I tend to be a bit different than some 10MM guys in that my target velocity is between 1000 and 1100 FPS. I find this load is easier on guns brass and shooters, while at the same time giving me complete penetration on even 280lb porkers. I like blue dot but when I ran out I tried HS6 and liked those results to.

I have the 190gr Oreo mold. With my alloy, the solid drops 197grs. It feeds slick and looks awesome. Only loading it in 40 right now. Some really good results in the "closed group buy results" sub section. I'd like to hear more about the pistol, been looking at it since it came out last year.

Here's the one that I use in 10mm. Wheel weights water dropped should penetrate about anything you would shoot with a 10. Light loads are pushed with ww231 or unique. Heavy loads pushed with 800x although it meters like gravel.

Thanks fellas! Sorry it took so long to get back to all of you. Just got in from church. Jupiter7, thanks for the link. I am going to try and post a pic of my 10. My buddy switched a few parts out from feedback on other forums. They include:
Ed brown flat msh (chain link pattern)
Egw oversized firing pin stop
Wolf 23# hammer spring
Wolf 20# recoil spring
I got rid of the mag funnel and put some stainless grip screws on her. She shoots great and runs well. Just picked up 6 boxes of ammo at the gunshow for $45. I have 1000 pieces of new star line brass waiting for some time to reload.
