lyman gas check starter?

i have an lyman 450(orange) luber. i have the lyman plastic gas check piece, but can not figure out how to install it. i need some help on this one. thanks...dancast

Haven't used mine in a long time but I believe that it goes on the stem below the die holder, like I said, it's been a long time.

Not sure about "plastic". My check seater is steel... It does go on the rod below.. the the narrow portion goes up against the housing over the rod... the wider portion goes over the threaded rod.

Scroll down to the 450 and note item #15 (the gas check seater). Just put the notch over the bolt and push in until it stops against the bolt.
