Anyone ever see one of these? I found it at an auction. Looks home made, but VERY well made. works on the same principal as a Star and even uses their dies with the C-clip[ type die from Star. (It came with a .454" in it)

wish I learned to weld rather than set type by hand back in school--BTW didn't have a choice. Not too many type setters any more

I agree with WV109323: It looks like a homemade version of a Star. Does it have a compressor / spring arrangement like the star?

I took welding classes on collage. Honestly learned way more reading welding for dummy's, buying a welder, and building stuff.
