Gonna say using pistol powders it wouldn't be much if any different from a 45-70. I had a load of 12.6gr of unique under a lee 500gr. But stability was an issue with velocity and bullet length, out of the standard twist used in 45-70 rifles. I put a faster twist, 1-14, GM barrel in my H&R. But that 12.6gr load wasn't subsonic anymore, it was on the ragged edge as it was, the twist added just enough pressure to get the velocity over the edge.

Probably gonna use a different powder, have 8lbs of solo 1000 I can use, maybe some green dot see what gives best results and least noise.

H4895 responds very well to reduced loading. Hodgdon even recommends it for youth loads at 60% of maximum charges for a given cartridge and bullet. This is the only powder that Hodgdon recommends reducing below starting loads in rifle cartridges.
