I had a few questions that were answered by you wonderful people and I got the things together for casting for my SKS. Slugged the bbl to .312 so I got a .313 size die and the Lee 155 2c mould. Water quenched coww and let them sit for two weeks. Loaded a dummy round to 2.155 col no problem chambering the round. Lubed the boolits with Lube from RandyRat (this forum) and with gas checks from 338RemUltraMag(this forum). Worked up 4 rounds each from the Lyman handbook of SR4759 at .5 grain steps. By the way the shells were about 3 feet away almost in a pile. This should be about 1750 fps w/ 155 g boolit.
Look what happened when I got to 15g of powder. This is at 25 yards with iron sights.98015

He mentioned iron at the end of his post Bob. I imagine that to be "Iron Sights."
Would also like to see a 100 yd. target.

I'm using Tech sights. I know I read on there that the peep sight will improve your accuracy, but I didn't believe it. Well I kinda do now. Soon as I get another round loaded up I'll try it at 50 and 100 yards and post the results. I've also put on a tapco stock and a 5 round mag, you that 922r thing.

If you can't afford a M1 dress up what ya got....

OK here it is the 100 yard 10 shot group. Then I had to start shooting my steel plate. Cool thing about the Tech sights, they have a 300 yard peep that works right on the money for 100 yard cast. 100 yard tech sights 155 Lee 312 sized at 313 over 15g SR4759 from Chinese SKS

Yea, real good for an SKS. Groundhogs at 100yds would be a pretty sure thing.
