Have heard good and bad about Magtech ammo. Mostly interested to learn opinions and experiences with it in handgun for shooting it and especially reloading the brass. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I ain`t never found any thing wrong with it.
I like the ammo, prefer the brass, and have used there primers.
I don't know the co.s history but it is high quality.

Good clean ammo from what I've shot in .45 acp mainly. Good brass too. Cept when my buddy runs it through his Thompson. Man that thing kinks a lotta brass. lol

My very limited experience shows it to be somewhat poor. I was shooting some of their 45 acp and found it inaccurate. So on a whim I pulled a bullet and measured - .448. No wonder. It all went bang though. :)

I've never fired any of their ammunition but I've had very fine service from CBC cartridge cases and Magtech primers.

I used to shoot 45lc's until I started casting and loading that cal. Why buy when you can make your own with the loads and performance you want?

Save your money and buy powder, lead, cases, and primers!

I have loaded 38 special cases from magtec. No casemouth cracks after 6 loadings. These were light target loads, and I bell very minimally. I did notice the primer pockets are tighter than american brass.

I have also shot and loaded the brass and have not had any problems so far with it

I have used their brass, mostly .38 Spl. and .45 ACP quite a bit with satisfactory results. No problems at all.

I've used their brass, bullets, and primers and results were good, but I bought these components several years ago from Cabela's and I have no experience with anything current from that manufacturer. I don't remember how long ago it was when I purchased them, but I do remember the 250 grn 45 colt bullets were $6.49 per bag of 100 or $29.00 per box of 500 and that was quite expensive I thought at the time.

My experience with magtec is mostly their 357 and 38 loadings from before I started reloading the only thing negative I can say about them is there primers are very hard, my buddy just picked up a new 686 and he was having about 1in 10 not go off I will have to work his springs over for him but other than that great ammo and realy good realy strong brass I can always feel the difference when I am sizing the magtechs on my dillon

Grandson and I shot up a box of Magtec 357's last week and we had one failure to fire. Looked like the primer was hardly dented.
