My beloved wife Teresa had another mild heart attack Saturday/Sunday, so her scheduled bypass got moved sooner. She had a triple late yesterday and is now in the cardiac ICU. Any & all prayers greatly appreciated.

Good morning
Will be praying for our God to mend all those incisions and remove any infections before they start. May His will be done and individuals hear the Gospel because you are there.

Thanks to all. Her O2 has been low so they replaced her plain mask with a BIPAP (forced air) & increased the O2 feed. Headed back to hospital now.

Prayer sent and wishing for a speedy recovery.

Buy her a large teddy bear when she gets out. It helps for her to hug it when she has to cough to keep the chest from hurting.

@ osteodoc - the staff have given her a cough pillow and they issue every patient who leaves the CVICU a huggin' bear. Thanks again to everyone. The BIPAP's been replaced with a bag mask, her O2 is up and pulse down, and she had some jello, pudding, & juice today. She teared up when I showed her this thread.

Your wife will love that bear in the days to come... I had a triple bypass last Feb 15th, left the CVICU on the 19th and that hugging pillow, mine was a heart, will be one of the best things she will use in the next couple of weeks... It will take a little while to heal but she will do fine... Old School you take good care of your wife, she will need care and some help for the next couple of weeks.. God bless both of you

Yep. I've been in & out of ICU per their hours there & crashin @ my shootin buddy's house. I'll be workin the next three evenings, commuting in to be with her in the mornings then goin back north about 40 miles to don the costume & patrol. Then I'll hit my days off & stay in town again or if she's in a room by then, sleep at the hospital. When they release her & I become the primary nurse, I'll go on FMLA - luckily I just completed a calendar year w the office so that's available.

Teresa is: off the mask / on a cannula, sitting up in a chair, about to get all the rest of the tubes out and about to move from CVICU to a room. Thank you, Lord, for the support from these Brothers, Amen.

Another step toward home and healed! Walking will cause her to think they are out of their minds, but is very important to keeping down complications. Encourage her to walk almost more than she can stand. 5 by pass 8-4 -10 and going strong. I can do more than I want to now. God is GOOD!

Teresa is RELEASED. We had her much-craved celebratory spaghetti lunch then picked up some home care items (bcz I get to be Florence {Fred?} Nightingale for a while) and she is now put to bed while I sit on the very cold porch with a celebratory fire-lette in the chiminea and a celebratory ration of Cooper's Mark, neat, in my rocks glass and wait for my M-P molds to show up. Thanks again for all the support from the Brothers here and please keep us in prayer.

Good report. Take good care of her and do the breathing exercises with her and keep her mobile. Also keep anyone with colds, flu, etc. away for a while, she doesn't need that. My wife had to offend a few to keep them away. I would have stuck a finger all the way up a nostril to keep from sneezing. Keep us posted.

Teresa's breathing effort has increased to the point we called her surgeon, who directed us to the X ray office, where her BP was low and they sent us to the ER, where they are holding her overnight for observation.
