Hey everyone.

I was wondering if there is a recipe for the 30-30 with 113 cast boolit using H414 or Red Dot or blue dot?

Just asking.

5 grains red dot is a good cat sneeze load lyman shows 10 to be max for a 115 grain bullet

My homemade trapper loves 5.0 red Dot with a 311008 sized .313" it weighs around 120gr. I haven't got around to chronographing it yet but It will go under an inch at 50 yards if I do my part.

Not what you're asking but have used Unique and 2400 successfully.

What velocity are you chasing?
Trailboss gives me 1200-1400fps and 2-4moa depending on the load

Not the powder you mentioned, but 8.0 grains of umique and the 113 soupcan is a great combination. I think if I was trying one of the three you mentioned I would play with the blue dot and see how it did.

+1 on the 7.5 gr Unique load with a 115 - 120 gr cast in the 30-30.

I used 4 grs of Red Dot with the Lee soupcan for my squirrel load. You could eat the bullet hole. Cant tell you how many i shot but it was alot. Got tired of eating them. Never chronoed it, but that is my plan this. 8 grs of Red Dot would really shoot flat and had fun busting head sized dirt clods and rocks aways out, relatively speaking; when the fields got plowed over.

I've used five grains of Red Dot under the Lyman 3118 (120 grains). Quiet, very soft and very accurate.

I just got my 113gr mold recently, so haven't done a lot of testing with it yet, but so far, have had good luck with 2.5-5.0gr Red Dot, and 2.7-6.0grs Unique.
