Remington 11-48 and 870 interchangeability

I have a Remington 11-48 that I would love to fix up and get a rifled barrel for... Anybody know if there is any interchangeability between this and the 870 lines???

Don't think so. This was the precursor to the 1100. the barrel recoil lug is longer on the 1100/11-87 barrels compared to a 870. Also the 870 is a pump.

Short answer No. I have both guns and they are not interchangeable.
