Many times I wonder what the other guys loading rooms look like, hears mine. That's a RCBS lubersizer, a RCBS rockchucker , 2 REDDING T7 presses , two Harrow powder measure, 2 Powder scales one electronic and one old lyman I started with 53 years ago. The benches are African hardwood and are bolted to the wall and the floor. My casting is with a lee and a old lyman 20 lb furnace in another room with a exhaust fan. My problem is not in reloading but in shooting. My range is 94 miles round trip away. When I go shooting I pack a lunch and stay all day. tks for your time KEN

HAHAHAHA!! I will see if I can get a pick up in a little bit and show you what a reloading room is suppose to look like. I bet you spent all day getting it picture ready. If not then I envy your discipline. Nice setup even tho it is missing the clutter that seems to be the norm in mine.

The bench is the start, consider bolding it to the wall and the floor . It will really help on those full length sizing jobs. Took a look at the reinforcements I added under those 2 T7. They do not move . tks KEN

As far as the clutter I usually only load one cal. at a time and there is a pile of square footage on those bench tops. I keep almost everything in those wall cabinets and the cabinets under the benches plus those shelves above the one T7 are 4 ft long . I have a lot of covered storage space. What the pics don't show are 9 feet of cabinets 1 ft high attached to the 7 ft ceiling . I learned a long time ago if you can keep it under cover tks KEN

Yeah I also envy your organization. One trick I have used for about 15 years is keeping my powder in a cooler, keeps it dry and organized.

Very classy, very clean and organized. My T7 press is bolted to an old office table I picked up cheap at Habitat for Humanity ReStore with a bunch of lead piled on top for stability.

Geez! I would say anyone with more than a bench in the basement with a couple shelves, is spoiled.

Part of mine. Clutter is normal.

Notice the PVC pipe? Great way to direct bullets from Star into a bin on floor.

Dammit, it is upside down. No, I don't defy gravity.

I don't know how you guys stay so neat and organized. After 50 plus years of loading and 45 plus of casting, clutter is caving in on me.

I clean table off when getting ready to run more loads. It's clean all but 10 minutes. Nice setup you have and I venture to say that on a stool can just spin and get everything done without moving! Would have to say on a daily basis, mine comes close to the organization btroj shows with his setup.

hey southpaw that's a big loading room with a pile of presses. I have 2 shotgun presses but I only set them up when needed due to room .I guess what it boils down to is you use the space that's available . Back in 1960 when I first got into loading I set my bench inside a closet I opened the door and started loading. Some years ago I had a farm in WV my loading room was 12X18. Back then I had 2 rcbs and one Dillon . But best of all I had a shooting bench at the end of the room ,open the window and shoot out to 300 yards. WOW I sure miss my farm in WV.

WOW I wish I just had a corner. Still throwing out junk in the cold cold garage to reload in. I do have a overhead heater but I am not sure yet about heat and powder? When I am closer I will post a pic so the judges can decide. The more the peanuts the better the galley. BTW any reloading room is a good reloading room.

Your set up must of just been finished or not used very often ? my set up never looks that neet even after i clean up , but im doing something on at least one of my benches every day, one is 8' and the other is 6' both with cabinets underneath . when i really have a mess is when im casting boolets , both benches are filled up with equipment & material

Since I have to move every couple years, I'm constantly changing my reloading area. Fortunately, I have had garages for my reloading area for the last 10+ years. Prior to that I had an apartment set up, for a while. It wasn't too bad becasue my reloading activities were on a much smaller scale then.

Moving sucks and having to lug my reloading equipment (along with everyting else) around every few years is a major pain. On the positive side, it helps ensure I sort through my stuff and keep things somewhat organized. Plus, I get a new set up every now and then which allows me to constantly improve my work area. My current home (rental) has a great garage space, lots of storage and a wide work area that has windows letting in natural light. I'm pretty happy with my reloading set up in this house. Hopefully, next time I move it will be to a permanent house and I can set up a reloading area with "long-term" in mind.

All the wood shown in the pics is a African Hardwood called Sapele, its very dense hard close grained wood. On top of that I put 4 coats of flooring finish sanding between each coat. Its hard to scratch, those tables have been there for 6 years and I load a about 2-3 thousand rds a year (not a lot). I guess spending 30 years on a Chesapeake bay workboat has me in the habit of keeping down the clutter. On a workboat your space is limited so you make SAFE use of every inch of it. tks KEN

Wow now I feel better. As my Grand Father used to say " There is a place for everything and everything has its place " I follow his advice pretty well in my reloading room , but I trash it in my wood shop . I have to work on that. Hey Lloyd that puts a new meaning into "Reloading Room" . That's a real nice setup. tks KEN

I can't handle the clutter that some people deal with. I have a few areas for my reloading/gun supplies. There is a room that is about 8x10 which has my tumblers, brass, casting setup, and all the dirty stuff in it. It has a big tub for washing the dogs and use as a utility sink as well. There is only room for one or two people to be in that room at a time. It has a lot of stuff, but it is somewhat organized and I try to keep the benches as clear as possible.

Most of the loading actually happens in my living room (yep, I am single). I have a nice bench that came with my dillon 550. This bench top stays pretty clean, unless I am in the middle of a project. It is really nice to reload in the house where it is clean and the temperature is easily controlled. The outside utility room gets wet/flooded when it rains and the walls and ceiling are not sealed up completely like the inside of a house is. I am glad to have as much space as I do for reloading. It works quite well, but we can always dream of something bigger and better. A 2 car garage would be a nice size, but I use my garage for building things and have a lot of tools for auto use and construction use, so I would need at least two garages.

I like reloading and casting, but I also get bored or lazy with it as well. I have plenty of boolits cast, but still had the urge to do more this week. Other times I will drag my feet on getting ammo loaded for upcoming shoots. I rarely have help with reloading or casting. Hopefully I will run across a good woman who likes to do the same, to keep me company.............then again that means even more ammo would be needed. Reading the gun forums is as much fun as doing the actual loading, so I sometimes take the easy way out to scratch that itch. Maybe my mind is more ambitious than my body.

One corner of the small utility room (I did clear a few items off the bench for the photo):
98047
There is another bench, about the same depth, on the opposite side of the room and there might be 3 feet between the two to walk/sit.
98048

This is the living room and front entrance to my suite (800 sq. ft. condo attached to my parents house, which we built for my grandmother).
98049
The drawers work well for storing items out of sight and still getting to them easily.

If it was not for that long drive to the range I would shoot far more then I do . I usually shoot about 3-500 rds out of pistols and rifles when I go, but I do spend all day. from 9-5 . Makes it worth it with the price of diesel fuel tks KEN

I'm envious, I am cutting back so I can fit my space. Reloading and casting are all becoming a 1 tool for each task operation. Or as close as I can get.

On the up side we will have a 13x36 Clausing Cholchester lathe, a Grizzly Drill/Mill, a mini lathe for little stuff. A evenheat knife oven for heat treating, a few grinders, one wet, Welding and cutting tools since I'm a welder, and a bunch of hand tools.

I think the hardest part is getting rid of stuff I don't NEED so the rest will fit.

You Guys have some nice rooms! I'll try to get a pic of mine posted over the weekend. I don't know how to post a link, but there is a post on ReloadersNest right now about a room in a shipping container. It must be a professional set-up, as most of us would never use that much gear. Its worth a look!
