New Ingot Molds - Ready For Smelting

Made some new ingot molds now im ready for smelting production

made 17 ingot molds from 1/8 1x2 channel steel 8.5 inches top 8.25 inches bottom

should make an ingot aprox 4.5 lbs each

square sides you might have a problem getting the lead to let go

I agree, but as you've angled the ends slightly it might be ok. (You've been a busy boy!).

Naw. As it is shaped similar to other ingot molds (Lee, Lyman), it should work just as well.

I thought the other (commercial) molds had tapered sides?

plenty of taper on all sides ingots drop out nice

VHoward, nope, in the picture the sides look straight, hence my comment. Good to see that they're actually sloped a little (the channel iron that I'm familiar with - and actually have - has straight sides).
