I'm about out of my stock of LBT Blue Commercial (I think it is the commercial.....Dad bought it and it needs a heater).

I use the hollow stick lube in a LAM2 for all my pistol and rifle boolits from 9mm to 45/70. The majority of my cast boolits are for revolvers, 357, 41, 45colt.

Willing to try any commercial hollow stick line that would work well with all my calibers. What does everyone suggest. All I've ever used has been the LBT Blue. It works well, but I don't mind trying something else for a change.

Recommendations?

Not to hijack your thread, but I've wondered the same thing. Years ago I bought 50,000 cast projos (way cheaper than I could cast them) and they were lubed with Red Rooster. I have a few sticks of LBT Blue and a couple of Lyman orange. Didn't know if one was better than the other. I'm getting low and will start casting for Cowboy matches again.

I like LARS White Label Lubes, the Carnauba Red is a hard lube, need a heater, and the only upshot I see is HIGH velocity loads and to a lesser extent, is less messy.

My favorite is the BAC lube. It does not require heat, works for me on 1800 fps 30 06 cast, and ALL magnum handgun (Im loading 357 and 44 mag up to 1400 fps) and still works great from 9 mm, 38, 44 spl, 45 ACP, and 380 ACP. So even the lower velocity stuff is still good with it.

I fully intend too. If it smells good, I'm definitely gonna try it. My nose is fairly sensitive. The LBT blue always smelled like crayons to me.

Any of the White Label lubes. Carnuba Red and BAC seem to be the most popular. I use 2500+ for everything I shoot and have had zero leading.

I was out again yesterday and gave it another test. I took my two Smith & Wesson .357 magnums, a Model 686 with a 6 inch barrel, and a Model 19 with a 4 inch barrel. Chronographed my load at 1261 fps with Lee 358-158 RF ACWW sized .358 with TAC 1 lube from the 6 in barrel. The 4 inch barrel was 30 fps less.

I shot about 60 rounds total mostly through the Smith 686. I actually cleaned both barrels with one tight dry cotton patch. Just powder fowling on the patch, the barrels looked like mirrors inside. A .357 mag has always been an easy revolver to "lead up" for me if everthing is not correct.

And no I don't work for Randy, just wanting to give a report on his excellent lube.

White Label - the carnuba red will perform well with all the calibers you mentioned. It isn't messy (sticky) and holds well when sized/lubed boolits are stored in quantity. It does require a heater.

not sure what smells you are sensitive to ,myself the burning grease smell of alox is ummm to be avoided , if your sniffer tends to be likewise i'd suggest staying away from any alox based lube , CR and tac1 doesnt smell like alox to me , they may have some in it ( i dont believe so but ..) many non-alox lubes work well , if you wish to make one i'd suggest felix lube , other than the cooking of oils it's pretty easy on the nose and works great

White Label lubes can be ordered in stick form, yes. The BAC is a blend of Carnauba Red and NRA 50/50. The 50/50 in it leaves a wonderful smell of honey from the beeswax. I notice none of the alox smell, unlike tumble lubing, though it is in there.

Been using BAC almost exclusively for a few years now. His Carnauba Red is very popular as well.
And...He is a member here on the forum.

Try LBT Soft Blue. It doesn't smell like crayons, I promise. It smells slightly sweet, and perhaps with a touch of floral. It's hard to describe.

TAC#1 and WhiteLabel lubes are both great. I keep lubes from each loaded in different sizers.

I use White Label 2500+ for all pistol and rifle loads .380, 9MM, 38/357, 40 SW, 45 ACP, 30-30, 308, and 30-06. No heat required (below 50 degrees I do warm things up some), no mess, zero leading. Super product at a great price.

I thought we used the Carnauba Red on there? Or is it the same stuff?

Havent had much of a chance to do much reloading lately due to work and family. Maybe monday I can find out.

Carnauba Red is all I use for smokeless.I like the fact that it has to have heat as it holds up better to summer heat than some of the softer lubes.

I worried when Javalina became unavailable. Then I discovered White Label lubes by LS Stuff. Bought several sticks and gave part of my new stash to my gunsmith buddy. It's as good if not a bit better than Javalina was. I haven't tried any of it other than50-50, and their liquid lube, which I use on one Ranchdog boolit, but these work well for me in my rifle and handgun loads. I don't have anything in what could be called a high-velocity caliber that I cast for, so I haven't felt the need to go to the harder lubes, but if I did I'd buy them from LS Stuff. Good products, nice folks to do business with.

ok now, talking of bullet lubes. I just started casting 3 months ago and will need to get more bullet lube..... but I can only find what is sold at the shooters catalog places like midway and midsouth. I have one thompsons blue angel and 2 sagebrush alox lube. dont know where I got the alox from or when. I do not have time to make any, nor do i want to start. I cast for the 44 mag revolver (240 gr swc) and 45 acp (200 gr swc). i looked for that white label.... maybe it is my browser, but all I could find was what i listed. I do not want to spend more time casting and lubing than shooting. simple cheap and fast... what should I use if I had to pick one?

It's the first Google result if you search "white label lube".
