Got the Harbor Freight Sonic cleaner and fired it up with Lemshine and dawn. Was pretty impressed. So since I like to try it all I added some ceramic media a little water Lemshine and dawn to the mix in the Dillon. Way better fast and clean. Hope I didn't or don't wreck the Dillon.

Oops the ceramic media fills up the cases. Cleans em good but is a pain to remove. So I put em in the old toaster oven for a hour at 200 hope the media drops right out. Won't do that again.

Save the ceramic for pointed bullets. Go with SS for the jackets.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much water in the Dillon. Just a drop of soap (literally a drop), and a few splashes (I like to splash the water in with my hand) of water. Just enough to get the media and the brass wet, is enough.

Get a Dillon tumbler, the small sized one. And, fill the tub with warm clean water (no soap). Put the brass and media into the basket, and slowly rotate. The water will all but float the media out of the brass, and the media will fall through to the bottom of the tub. The slots in the basket are small enough that the brass will stay contained in the basket. I tried many other tumblers, but the Dillon is the ONLY one I found that had small enough slots to pull this off.

As an aside, if your Dillon 500 tumbler ever dies, like mine did..... You can send it back to them, and ask them to do the "750 upgrade" on it. For about $60 and postage, they will upgrade the motor to the same motor they put on the 750 sized tumbler (with ball bearings), and heavier duty springs. My upgraded Dillon 500 tumbler will now never burn out again.

Who ever would have thought that a regular vibratory case tumbler would work with the SS pins and LemiShine...................PERFECT!

I started having problems with my SS Thumbler tumbler with it leaking. I'm guessing that the lid gasket is stretched out of shape. Tried to make a quick fix with saran wrap and that didn't work. Looks like I'll be simply using my vibe tumbler with the best of both worlds......

Great idea, Scootshop!

Not my idea. Got it here from BT Might have got a little carried away with the amount of water. Sure dose make shinny fin bullets.
