I have an old Ideal 358477, looking at the bottom of the bullet it drops the halves seem off set just a bit. Pushing it through a Lee sizer indicates the same thing. This is an old one hole mold that drops an otherwise nice bullet. Is it worth sending it off to try to have it corrected or just retire the old girl? If repair is in order, who does such a thing?
Thanks, Rex

Take the mold off the handles and close it. Try to wiggle it side to side, if it does move, move the locator pins out a little until there is no movement and you see no light between the blocks. Very simple adjustment.

the pins can be used to adjust the off-set too.
one will slide the right half forward and the other will slide it back.
you might have to pick and poke at them for a bit to get things just right.

If you can post pics of the molds faces, we could probably give you an idea of what's happening.

I've fixed a few. Sometimes a burr develops in the hole the locator pins set into, a round file fixes it; or the mold warps; a light run of a file over the offending portion might fix it if just a few thousandths.

Het the mold up on the hotplate and punched the pins both out a bit. Works a lot better now. THANKS AGAIN!
