Pat's reloading has AA2520 for sale at about the same price as WC844 & 846. I've used AA2460 with cast in 35 Rem and 7.62x39 with good results and was wonderin if anyone has used 2520 with these same rounds. How does it compare to WC844? Also I'd like to try the 7383 in 35 Rem and 30-30.

Thanks, Ron

AA2520 is pretty much the 'ball' equivalent of IMR 4064.

AAC2520 is about the only rifle powder I load anymore, cast or jacketed. I use it in 223, 30-30, 30-40, 30-06, 8mm, and 444 Marlin. I have used it to good results in 6mm, 6.5X55, 308, didn't have much luck with the 270, or 25-20 tho. I use IMR4895 data.

I bought 16 lb of AA2520 that was repackaged from bulk by Pat"s Tumblers ( same place ?) at Camp Perry this year.
He was selling several other surpluss powders .

What I have says on the label ,
This powder was manufactured in CHINA for Acurate Arms Powder Co.
Use 2520 starting data to work up all loading data..........

I have lot PSA-04 , 122-94

It looks like the AA2520 I have used before ( looks can be deceiving )
A med ball powder

I have not loaded any yeat to tell you how it shoots :Fire: :Fire:

I found this http://www.patsreloading.com/patsrel/prices.htm
It apears that is the same guy I got my powder from at Camp Perry .
Can't order from the link but can see what he has .

I wish he was closer (140 miles) , I would be a regular pick up customer for powder , 223 and 308 ammo .
I sometimes like to blast with the AR 15 or FAL and not worry about reloading or picking up brass :Fire: :Fire:

I still may get with several freinds and place a pick up order , the powder hasmat fee will cover the gas and ammo is heavy to ship .
Just need the $$$$ LOL

Yes, this is the site where I found the AA2520. Wish I had someone else here willing to go in on an order, but can't convince any that these powders are as good as any they're paying $20+ per pound for. [smilie=b:

Because of having no out of the book loading data the surplus powders are not as nice .
But being cheap and liking to play the surplus powders work .
If canester powder was the same price ,surplus powder would never sell

Have faith , show them the AA2520 shoots good and you may make them see the light.
