I have been wanting one of these for a while. Marlin 1894FG .41 Mag. A couple pics so you know it's so.

Now I need a proper mold.

It's no secret and I'm sure you already know that is one RARE rifle. I personally like the full grip better than the straight grip too.
I know you'll enjoy it!

Artful, yeah I have a couple revolvers to go with it. Still on the hunt for a proper mould tho. I think I am on the right track with one from Accurate. More pics.

Lyman 410028 works very well in my 1894FG. My mold drops at .414 so makes selecting the proper size easy.

Sweet - nothing like having a combo set to take out and only have to worry about taking one ammo can.
I have setups in a few different calibers (22LR, 9mm, 38/357, 44 mag, 45 acp) and thanks to contender barrels some not quite as handy! (375 bigbore, 45-70).

If that thing shoots as well as my 1894CLL and 1894S in 41 mag, you'll be a lucky man.

I want an FG, but the price of admission keeps going up!

Now if I could just find an 1894LtdSS for a decent price.....

Idaho Mule: Before you spend any signicant $ on moulds, you might want to think about putting that rifle and 3-4 hundred $ boot into another 356 ,as I know where one is available... [smilie=1::) Onceabull

Onceabull, thanks for the heads up on that 356!! Now I have a real quandry to cipher out. By the way, did you want that mule shod or not when I deliver it in Winnemucca? JW

Run5run, what about Accurate 410L? JW

That's one sweet trio of shootin' irons! That Blackhawk isn't exactly common, can only gues the Redhawk isn't either. Looking forward to load notes and a range report. The 41 is an awesome round for a handloader (and caster) who knows his stuff. Congrats!

The 41 mag is underrated - the 44 overshadowed it thanks to gun media and hollyweird - I did shoot some 41's back in my sillywet days in comparison to my 44 and found they shot just enough flatter to make life easier and impact was pretty comparable.

Groo here
45 2.1 has a design for a 41 silvertip hp boolet .
Mine runs about 178gr in my mix in hp and close to 200gr in flatnose.
Both are shorter nosed to use in short cylinder/lever guns.
Penn bullets has the JD Jones SSK heavy weight boolet.
295gr 41mag, you might try if you have a mind to.
Just hold length to about 1.6 in .
Many molds [some here] are ruger length and you will have trouble..
