Proper seater stem for a flat nosed bullet?

I have RCBS dies for my .358 Win. The seater stem is made for a spitzer type bullet nose. When I seat my 35-200 fn, it leaves a deep ring in the bullet. Do I simply cut off a 1/4" X 28tpi bolt for a seater or do I need the rounded section to keep the bullet straight while seating? THANKS for your help in advance.

I've heard of using hot glue to make an exact seater. Search this site, I think you will find it.

I use a flat seater for these things.
