I have a 3 cav. Accurate Brass 360158 mold that I've not cast with in several months. Today seemed like a good day to remedy that problem.

It is a real pleasure to use this mold ( being brass, it is a bit heavy however ). Bullets drop nice and round at .360" ( I size to .358" ) , The lube ring is generous and carries plenty of Ben's Red .

If you're like me and not too excited about the bevel base on the Lee 158 RF, this one is basically a duplicate of the Lee , less the bevel base feature. Overall , it seems to be a nice solid performer in most of my guns, rifle and revolver alike.

This one has better frontal area that most of the Keith style 38/357 cast bullets like the 358477, and the 358429.

I think it clearly offers an improved " SMACK FACTOR " upon impact.

These Accurate molds ( especially the brass ones ) are quickly becoming some of my all time favorite molds to cast with.

Great boolit! The pictures from when you first bought that one inspired me to widen the nose a tad more to an 81% meplat, even!
It gave it an extra 4 grains, and the 360-162V was born! ('Not a fan of bevel bases either.)

That is a fine looking bullet. I don't own any of Toms molds yet [ itch verses scratch thing ] but I have visited his catalog many times and am impressed with the number of designs available and his willingness to alter them if requested. I also like the fact that his designs that need to be crimped have an actual usable crimp groove, as I prefer to seat and crimp in one step.

Yes, some of these crimp rings ( I sold a Lyman 358477 because of this issue ) are so narrow as to make seating and crimping in one motion virtually impossible.

Count me in as a HUGE fan of what some call OGIVAL WADCUTTERS....they just plain work and make living things into supper.

I like the looks of both boolits....just like opening up the hood and adding a big ol helping of instant WAP FACTOR to any 35 bore....good on ya both.
