It's finally complete. My 7BR Unlimited Silhouette gun is ready for testing. It sports a new Lilja 3 groove stainless barrel, Bomar rear and globe front. The action has been fully blueprinted and teflon coated. The stock I'm not sure of the brand because I bought it well used but it has found new life with a fresh coat of metallic blue clearcoat.

Nice!! :bigsmyl2:

Makes my Omark conversion look a bit sad. :???:

Did you bring it in under the old 4 1/2 lb weight limit, or the new 6 lb limit?

The current weight limit is 6 lb. This one weighs 5 lb 12 oz.

I'll use it for both. My plan is to use the RCBS 145

Very nice, whats the trigger wght?

It is still the factory trigger. About 3 pounds. I don't have the budget for a better trigger right now.

Yeah, sometimes I'm a bit slow keeping up with rule changes.

When I started shooting handgun silhouette back in the early 80's, the weight limit for Unlimited was 4.5 lbs.

When I bought up the old Omark "Grot Gun", it had 2 stocks with it; one older, slimmer black one which makes the 4.5 lb limit, and a chunkier, grey one which puts it over.

This surprised me as I didn't know the rule had changed. :???:

I actually prefer the slimmer stock, and while there are those who say "What?? You shoot a .308 in a HANDGUN!!", it's actually quite comfortable to shoot with the mild cast boolits load I run through it.
