Here is a link to the rangehot.com article on the Lonewolf barrel for the Glock 20 10mm Auto.

Thoughts please.

I don't think the use of a .401 sizing die is the reason for the 25% failure rate of the drop test. He said he used a different procedure for expanding when He changed the sizing die size that is the reason the .400 sized bullets worked. Also using brass fired in a Glock chamber without running it through a bulge buster or the Lee equivalent may or may not work in a Lonewolf chamber.

I had LW barrels for my daughter's G19 and my G35 and never had a problem.

My cousin has the 6" comp barrel for his G20 and he runs some hot 10mm relaods through it and he never had it fail him. He does use the 10mm Lee 4 set dies (or the 40S&W dies) and no problem of FTF.

I had a 20 barrel. It wouldnt run at all with 401s and wasnt even totaly reliable with .400s. I sent it back to them and they were suppose to open the chamber on it. When it came back it would run 400s but still wouldnt run 401s. thing is i found my stock barrel outshot it with lead anyway so i just sent it down the road.

My 40 barrels are KKM and Storm lake. Both of them work quite well at .401
I do use buldge buster.

I have not tried a 10mm.

I am not getting any bulge from the factory barrel, even with hot loads so I used a full length resizer. The thing is even with the .400" sizing die I am getting about 10% that will only chamber about 1/2 the way.
I am thinking about sending it in to be opened up a few thousands.

You won't see a bulge in the case from the Glock barrel but the normal resizing die doesn't resize the complete case may or may not size enough of the case so that it will fit in the tighter Lonewolf chamber.

I have a RCBS Casemaster and measured the brass web using the Casemaster as if I were measuring bullet runnout. I could not tell any more bulge in the brass shot from the factory Glock barrel to the ones shot from the Lonewolf barrel.

We have over a half dozen Glock pistols! I tried Lone Wolf stainless barrels on both a model 20 & model 23 Glocks.
The accuracy of both these barrels for less than the factory barrels that came with the pistols. We tested them with several brands of factory ammo. The gave on average a 1 inch larger grouping with the 10mm Glock at 25 ft. The model 23 Glock was also a bit lame when it came to accuracy at that range. Average for 3 magazines was 1.2 larger groups than the factory barrel.

Later tested the KKM, Bar-Sto and Storm Lake barrels at the bench as well. The Bar-Sto gave the best accuracy over the other 2 barrels, to the tune of 3/4 inch at 25 yards. I printed groups of 3 inches, 2.8 and 2.6 inches. The other barrels I tested were all in the 3 inch to 3.9 inch grouping. The Lone Wolf was in the 4.7 to 5.8 range. Glock factory barrel was in the 4.1 to 4.8 inch group.

What is a buldge buster? I just ordered a lone wolf 9mm g34 barrel.

9mm is tapered. They don't list bulge buster for that caliber

its a die that lee and redding sells that works like a lee push through bullet sizing die to size the base of a case. Both my 20 and my 23 will bulge cases with top end loads but the funny thing is that the 26 i had wouldnt.

Hi,
I run a LW G20 barrel. The chamber was a little tight,so I wrapped some 0000# steel wool around a cleaning brush, sprayed some WD 40 for lube on it and ran it with a drill while always moving the brush back and forth for a few seconds and it was good to go!

I run .401 out of it and use the same loading for my S&W 10MM! It is as accurate as my Glock barrel and has been completely reliable and never had any problems with it. After the polishing!

I'm a fan of Lone Wolf. I bought one of there barrels for my dads Glock 9mm. He had bought 1,000 rounds of cast lead (loaded) ammunition without realizing the dangers in a Glock. His accuracy improved, his cleaning routine became easier and I slept better knowing he was safer :)

Yeah I was asking for my G20. I also have a G32 with a kkm 40 barrel that would benefit a little. Lots of 40s&w brass laying around from an old g23 that does not do well in that kkm barrel.

The factory crimp die from Lee along with the bulge buster kit will do it. I never had an issue with my g20 bulge with top end blue dot
