Any good 30-40 Krag loads?

I have a Ruger #3 in 30-40 Krag that I'm looking to start loading for. If anyone could help me get started with a decent load, I would be most appreciative. Presently I have a large assortment of powders, and #311041, #314299, MP311180, and NEI308160 (Lyman 311466 like bullet). Thanks for any help!

First thing I'd try is 16gr H110 with any of the bullets listed.

actually I'd just use 308 cast data...
but 17 grs of 2400 does pretty well in my 30-40.

I use 19 gr of SR-4759 behind any boolit in the 150-200 gr size. Currently working through my stock of 311467 (about 180 gr).

I agree, any boolit weighing between 150-180gr and 16-18gr of 2400.

For a heavier hunting load 30 grs. of RL7 with RCBS 30-180FN works well.

16 to 18 grains of 2400, 4227 or 4759,

36.0 grains of WW-748 under a 311-291 GC works well for me when I want a more muscular load. But Char-Gar's loads are great for pleasant paper punching. 17.5 grains of 2400 and a 200 grain Lee boolit make the cut.

I'd have to look. 4759 Clone at 19.5 gr. This drives a 314299 at around 1700 fps.

I can't add anything here. I shoot 17 gr of 2400 and 311041.

I have found Varget to be a good powder for my 30-40 rolling block.
But NOT for my bolt action Krag.
