I was reading the Feb. issue of Shooting Sportsman from the NRA. They are proposing an "F" class for the .22LR. For those that don't know F class is shot with a high powered rifle in the prone position with a bipod and rear bag. Distances for HP are 600 to 1000 yards. I think that would be super cool.
Does anyone know the distance and what target they will use in the .22LR sport?

The price of good quality .22 ammo I could probably shoot my .308 for the same price or cheaper.

Shooting 22lr at 100 yards is a challenge not only for the wind but because of the slower muzzle velocity requires greater follow through. As has been mention the cost of the ammo will be up there but think of how many ranges have a 100 yards to shoot at vs. 600-1000 yards.

I would not mind doing both.
