I am looking to start working up loads for my 375 Winchester and have two cast boolits I am trying out first. I have plenty of data for the 235gr RD but have been searching for data for the 280gr Lyman. The powders I have on hand are H335, H4227, H4895, and Trail Boss.
Anyone using this boolit with any of these powders? Thanks,

Thomas

out of the 3,i would say youd have best luck with h-4227. the 4895 wont work(i dont think),cause youll run out of case capicity before you ever get any speed.

I use V-133,and RE7 in my 375,,,with the 375449 boolit. Extremely accurate boolit!

Dont know if there is any data for 4227 in the 375???

Lyman's 49th shows the 375449 as weighing 264grs loaded with 21.0 - 24.8 of IMR4227. IMR4227 and H4227 are very close on the burn rate charts so I think a starting load of H4227 is where I will begin. Be interesting to see what I can do with iron sights at 50 yards to a bowling pin. :-D

my 449,s weigh alot more then that, probaly cause i use ww,or 50/50 ww-pure as my alloy.

I think my 375 is the most accurate lever gun i ever shot.It will shoot ragged hole groups@ 50 yards with peep sight.I dont enjoy shooting it though, cause it kicks pretty friggin hard. The harder you push thatboolit, the tighter it shoots. Im around 2000 f.p.s. with v-133,,shoots tremendous.

BTW, i think mine weigh 284 grs, lubed and checked.....

My .375 is going to see it's first boolit tomorrow, a 375449 ACWW propelled by RX7. I'm thinking H335 would be worth a look but have no firsthand experience with it.
