best way to bed win 94

Which way do you bed the forearm on a win 94 ? Rvt looks like less work .Should I piller the tang screw ? I have not found any good directions on internet. Cant afford 132$ for a book. thanks

I've never tried bedding a lever gun with a tube magazine. With the barrel band or dovetail out near the muzzle (on most lever guns) holding the magazine tube to the barrel, I'm not sure you'd gain anything by bedding the fore end. The final node for the barrel harmonics will always be at the barrel band or dovetail unless you somehow free floated the magazine tube from the barrel. Perhaps a half magazine with the magazine isolated from the barrel with only the handguard for support?

The only worthwhile bedding I've found, in 45 years of playing with leverguns, is to ensure an even/tight fit @ the rear of the receiver/tangs, etc.
