Is 4064's kernels the same length and or size as IMR 4198 ?? just different burn rates ??

The IMR 4064 particles are thicker and perhaps a tad shorter than the thin IMR 4198 ones.

lovely, just lovely, more and harder CRUNCH'S, may need a longer handle for the powder despencer, but with a new electronic scale , I'll see what the variances or ES on the throws are.

Actually Wayne, I've had no more trouble using IMR 4064 than IMR 4198 in my Lyman #55 powder measure. However, IMR 5010 is a completely different story.

My RCBS uniflows w/baffle do quite well with IMR4064, all my 30/06 and 8x57 rounds are simply thrown with it and accuracy is there....you do get an occassional crunch, but the target board says it's ok.

I hate 4198 because of those very long sticks.

4064 is much easier to measure

RCBS Charge Master 1500

Does not matter what powder you run through it.

Perfect drops every time, no matter what powder.
