After a long wait and too much money, I received my 250gr, 3 cavity SAECO 45 mould. As I un-wrapped my first thought was that the cavities were too close together and that I would have to watch my casting speed and temperature. That turned out to be true. I had hoped that the three cavtiy would be made on a 4 cavity block, as I have a 4 cavity 44 with the same problem. It does cast nice though.
Too bad I have a 45 Colt instead of a 45 ACP as the mould casts .450-.451 bullets! It is now at HP mould service having the bands opened up to cast at .455 with my favorite alloy (8 ww + 2 pure + 2% tin).
