I have my eyes on an Odin mk3 greener in 45-70. Does anybody have a working knowledge off these guns as far as safe levels on pressure. Or any other experience or thoughts on these guns

rmatchell,

Why not contact the Odin Arms folks and get their perspective? I have a Greener MkI that was converted to .40-65 that I shoot some pretty stiff loads from. I think the Martini action is stronger then the Springfield trapdoor but may not be as strong as a Marlin 336 or Winchester 1886. I would keep loads on the black powder level to be safe. Actually recoil will be the limiting factor, probably not chamber pressure.

I have talked to them about the greeners. In fact I go in there shop to much. I was just wondering what experience if any members have had.
