I've been wanting to make a light hbwc bullet for the 9mm. Got a mold awhile back that had a bubba job done to it so I figured it would be a good canidate to get bubba'd a little bit more.

The bullet has 3 drive bands & a .357 tail, figured the bullet would get swaged down no matter what when it's hollow base is seated deeply in a 9mm case.

The bullets on the left are as cast & the bullets on the right were ran thru a lee .358 sizing die.

These bullets should do extremely well in the 9mm for punching holes in paper along with the 38spl.

We shall see.

The big question is will that bullet reliabley feed in your pistol or are you using a 9mm revolver ?

There's no problem with this bullet feeding, it's to be used in a contender & revolvers. Been looking at another 9mm semi-auto, had 9 or 10 different ones. The only 1 I ever liked was a 1950 colt 38super that had a 6" 9mm bbl fitted to it along with the 38super bbl. If I get another one it will be the springfield ro in 9mm to match my ro in 45acp.

The light hbwc is for the 50m issf targets, free pistol. I practice with a heavier contender that has an extremely heavy 14oz trigger & 10" bull bbl in 9mm.

I figured I'd try cast boolits 1st, if I get no love then I'll make a set of swaging dies & swage some 115gr hbwc's.
