Took my 22-250 and 45 Colt out today and had a nice morning. It was in the high 40's when I got there and approaching the mid 50's when I left.

I reconfirmed my Kimbers pet load of a mid-high dose of 8208XBR and 55gr Nosler BT Varmageddon pills. Shooting 1-1/2" high at a hair over 100 yards and consistent 1/2 to 3/4" groups if I did my part.

I also brought out my Ruger Bisley Stainless in 45 Colt. I shot cast and plain bullets through it. I had picked up some 360gr Laser Cast WFNGC boolits. With a 20.3gr dose of 296 and seated to the crimp groove my velocities ranged from 1117 to 1148 with an average of 1132 over a 10 shot string per an old shooting chrony alpha. I was exceptionally pleased with that. Hodgdon claims a max dose of 20.5gr 296 for a velocity of 1151. I had no signs of high pressure and it was actually the most accurate out of the 4 loads I brought along to test. Roughly 2" at 27 yards. Best thing is they cycle beautifully through my Marlin CB. Didn't have a chance to test it out today. Ran out of time.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

That's not bad at all out of the Ruger. Good shootin. Of course same goes for the Kimber.
If that is a 360 gr. boolit it's gotta be puttin out some kind of foot pounds of energy from the revolver.

Yes, that's out of my Stainless Blackhawk Bisley 5.5". The bisley grip makes all the difference in the world when it comes to heavy loads.
