Hey guys. Just thought I'd let you know that a local shop has a very nice JM 1895 Cowboy for $750.00 right now. I looked at it yesterday and it looks to have been fired a little bit but not used for hunting or competition. I don't stand to gain from the sale in any way, just thought maybe someone is looking for one. The shop is Mike's Guns and Archery of Frankfort, KY: 502-223-8120.

dont know the value there BUT i do know about the value here ... seen a JM cowboy 45-70 the other day for sale in the gunsmith shop here for $1299.00. he always sells his stuff and has the attitude that "if ya want it ... cool ... if no ... oh well".

from here id say to snatch it while you can.

I like the cowboy 45-70, will have one someday but $750 sounds a little steep. But then again, I haven't seen a CB 45-70 for awhile.

Yes, it is near the little Frankfort airport. I think that is pretty cheap for a Cowboy Marlin, the few others I've seen for sale the last few years have been at least a grand.

We need to, I have been suppose to meet North 40 for coffee for a while, and keep spacing it, or something comes up. His wife even has a coffee shop, on 2cnd I believe.

I had two 1895 45-70 CBs. I just sold one of them for $1050. $750 is a good deal right now. If I lived closer I would check it out. Thanks for the heads up.

The 1895 CBs have gotten pricey and I doubt Remington will ever make them again. $750 is a decent price compared to what I see them go for. I wouldn't offer my 1895 CB up for sale at 750, I have had it a long time and like it very much.

I guess I did fairly well with the one I just bought from Dieguy 59 , I managed to trade him $500. Canadian dollars for one , And it is even a real Marlin! Now I almost feel bad? ( but it will pass ) LOL Thanks dieguy!

I have the 45 colt cb (wish It would grow up) lol I doubt I would give 750 for one, but I wouldn't take 750 for mine either. A 45/70 would be a different story.
Before they went extinct wallmart had them here for 707 bucks, kind of wish I had bought one as they were already getting scarce and bringing better prices in places.

I would love one in .357. Doubt that'll ever happen unless Remlin brings it back though.

I was told by a friend who was at the Shot Show that they will have the Marlin 94 in the gun shops by May 2014

They might but will they even work is the big question.

I've read in several places that the 1894 will be back in production but would that include the Cowboy version?
