Do you have enough shelves and storage area?
Seems I never do. I've been wanting to add more storage area in my basement work area.

Having too much storage and shelf area is like having too much money......For me it is a hard concept to imagine.

Today I made some progress. I added 4 EA. , 8 foot long shelves, 24 " deep. No nails used , #9 torx head screws, 3 " long and plenty of them.

I'm happy with the finished product.

I have 200 linal feet of built in bookshelve cabinets in my house and am still adding. I believe I have shelving all over 3 walls of my loading room. One thing I think is importeant is to figure out what you'll be putting on them and make the depth no deeper than necessary. That way what you want isn't ALWAYS in the back...lol.

So true, I thought about 36" depth and at the last minute I'm glad that I changed that to 24" depth.

36" wastes too much plywood and you'll never reach the back of the ones above 5' without a ladder. Good job, Ben!

Nice looking shelves. I have a thing for organization so shelving plays a big part in it. But I prefer them to be moveable. The HF casters have held up well for me.

These are in the basement. I did not take a picture of the food storage shelves because I don't want to be labeled a domestic terrorist ;)

These are in the attic of the garage.

This is on the main floor of the garage and is where I put items bound for the scrap yard and left over building materials.

And I really like the ease of these Rubbermaid shelves. This is above the reloading bench and I had them up in less than half an hour. They hold a good deal of weight.

I recently took about 12 ammo cans full of bullets off the one shelf. I was worried that if it did fail I would be dead if I was there when it happened.

Here's what I did for some shelving. Tubs are set up by tool usage. (plumbing, electrical, ect...)

I am going to pretend I never saw this - way easier than if I really tried to get organized like you folks. [smilie=1:

Hey Dragon, I've got the perfect scrap yard for that Sporty ;-)

I am not even going to show my garage...it has been rearranged by others too many times over the last two years for me to know where anything is...including the frame and front end assembly of my Ducati, or where the front suspension is for my 62 Sprite leaning against the wall is...
