With people like Miha, NOE, Accurate & the other custom mold makers today truly is the golden age of boolit casting. Never in history has there been the quality & selection of molds such as we enjoy right now.

I'd love to know how many of that mold Miha has made. Talk about re runs... I'll never get rid of mine.. Mike

The design is THE boolit for .45 ACP, does everything very well. I'm betting Miha can
keep turning those out at a moderate rate darned near forever and still be able to
sell them. Perfect design for a superb and popular caliber and a highest-quality
mold. How can that go wrong?

It depends on the barrel. Your fooling yourself if you think there is one particular "BEST" bullet in my opinion.

My jumping out of perfectly good aircraft and ranger-craft activities was a long time ago in RVN.

Glad there are still Americans who know what the true cost of freedom is and are willing to pay it

After over three decades of loading the .45 ACP in large quantities, using many different boolit
designs, I stand by the "THE BOOLIT" comment for the H&G 68. I have had several friends
take deer with it, it has won me a number of target matches and many dozens of IPSC matches
and placing in the Nationals and Bianchi Cup well (for me). It feeds flawlessly in the overwhelming
majority of .45 ACP pistols.

Any boolits yet? That is one beautiful mould, congrats. And the 68 is IMHO the boolit for the 45 ACP. Why else would there be so many copies of it? It's the standard by which all other cast 45 ACP boolits are judged.

Thanks guys! No, unfortunately no bullets yet :-( . I do not have a ventillation setup in my basement yet and we have been hit by unusually cold temps this year (where the heck is global warming everyone seems to be blabbing about? ;-)) This morning it was 12! Wish I was back in Texas, ohh well. When I start popping these puppies out I will post some pictures.

BTW, how do I get an NRA thingy by my Avatar?

What was the wait time ? About like your new baby ? Be sure to give details on casting with this mold, ie, how hot you have run your melt.
Basement, no windows ? guess no one makes 50 ' of cloth dryer hose

I waited 3 weeks for it. I made an inquiry to Miha about this mould. He said he had some extras and if I was interested he would send a PayPal receipt. I paid $110 for it and 2 weeks later this beauty arrived at my post office. Had to sign a customs form and that was it. I guess I could setup in my basement but I would have to make partitions so my kids would not mess with the equipment and most importantly not get close when I was actually casting. I did cast a few dozen bullets (.40 S&W that turned out OK) at Christmas on my reloading table just becasue I could not wait to try out the Lyman Big Dipper. I opened the windows.

Hmmm I will search this site on how to make/hook up the vents, etc to be able to do it down there. I was going to get some kind of setup (single propane burner stand) to mix/flux my alloys outside, then cast the finished products in the Big Dipper. Since I just got into this hobby I am still trying to get it all together, but with the help and knowledge from the fine folks on this site I am sure it will be no time.
