Hi there, Im fairly new to boolit casting, I was wondering if anybody has a recipe for a subsonic 200gr 7.62 load sitting at approximately 1045-1100ish fps, or at least point me to an apropriate thread, Now being a kiwi in a ruralish place I only have access to ADI powder. This is a load for use in a Chinese bolt action JW103.

Thanks Guys

My load for the Lyman 314299 was 6.0gr or Titegroup - not sure if that powder has an ADI equivalent.

My 1-12 bolt gun wouldn't stabilize the 314299 at 1600.This was 15 years back and I couldn't get enough powder in the case to make it shoot straight.

I used IMR 4350 w/a PP'd 200gr boolit in an s k s . Deep seated to fit the magizine w/22.5 and seated to the neck/shoulder junction w/25gr . The top speeds were up about 1500 and 1800 . The real sticker is that the load had to be a full load to burn all the powder. Unique worked well for my naked grease grooved plain based boolit and was nearly all sub sonic loads.

Another re loader that has the Norinco 7.62x39!! Ive got one too and love it!! I was just out at the range on Saturday and I can show you what I was getting with my 185 gn lee mold at 100 yards. also I have attached another pix of what I did with my 155 gn NOE mold. both are gas checked and 50/50 lubed sized to .313 and 2.2" OAL

Here is Saturdays 3 shots circled using Lee 185 grain gas checked and Lubed 50/50 it measures 1 1/4" at 100 y.

Here is a grouping from about 2 months ago using the 155 gn NOE sized at .313 gas checked and lubed 50/50. also at 100 y

sorry but neither of these are sub sonic

I have played with sub sonic a bit and did get my best results with Unique powder. however I was using a 120 gn boolit.
