Lyman Mag Dipper gone?

I decided I needed an electric dipper furnace, so I started looking for a Lyman Mag Dipper with the 20lb pot. Have they stopped making it? All I can find are Lyman's 10lb Lee looking units, Lee units and that beauty that Bill Furguson(Antimony Man) sells.

I've never owned a Mag Dipper. The only Lyman pot I own is the "big dipper" which (opinion here) is a worthless little Chinese contraption (at least mine is) good only as a donor pot. I'd suggest you look into one of these Waage pots. I've got two and even my RCBS can't maintain temp as well as a Waage. The most recently purchased Waage was $169 and it's made in the USA.

Mag Dipper went bye-bye it appears. Replaced by the Leeman "Big Dipper". If I wanted a Lee, I would have bought a Lee.

Maybe you can find a used one somewhere. I probably should call LYman and get a few more elements for my Mag 20, since it's been discontinued too.

Which Waage pot is it and where did you find one for $169? I looked at there web sight and they are MUCH more.

I just dug out my last invoice which was from Dec '12...It was $162 and the shipping was another $25. The pot is the K4757 and I don't remember it being listed on their website and I ordered over the phone. # is 908-245-9363.

I paid $162 as well a year ago - it is not listed on the web site, they make this model specifically for us boolit casters.

You won't be sorry with the wage! I had to email the part number and get the price but it was as stated above. I think it holds about 24# comfortably. It takes noticeably more than my pro-melt or my 4-20.

No reply to my Email. I guess I'll have to call. I also got a PM from someone here who has 2 mag dippers he wanted to sell, so I took one. Going to pick it up when I'm in Indiana for the ASSRA 22 match (As long as the snow has melted by then).
