There has been one of these at the local gunshop for a few weeks now. I have a couple of 338WM No1s and a 416Rigby.

I thought, welllllllllll, they probably won't be making the 375H&H again for awhile, so I went and bought her. Nice big rifle.

I will hunt with the 338s, but the 375 and 416 will see mostly range work with the Big Game Rifle shoots with boolits.

I didn't get any pics, the owner was by himself and was pretty busy, I will try and pop in tomorrow.

The 375 would be no slouch for hunting with boolits either.

Nowwwwwwww, are there any Aussies that would like to buy a near new Remington 700 DG or a Zastava M70 in 375H&H? haha!

My Dad used to say, a fool and his money are soon parted.

If you could only have one No.1 for hunting and fun, that's probably the ultimate caliber/configuration. Congratulations.

I like the Ruger #1 in 375. Its a good round on a fitting platform.

You might think about getting NOE's 378-275 brp boolit mould. Looks very promising in my #1

I looked at the online catalogue for 2014;

Light sporter in 280, Medium Sporter in 9.3x62 (I wouldn't mind one of those), Tropical in 450/400, Varminter in 220 Swift (I would love on of those one of those) and International in 257 Roberts (I wouldn't mind one of those).

They seem to have dropped the SS/laminates altogether.

The gunshop owner said he had been told that Ruger were flat out keeping up with demand which sounds reasonable, they are apparently building another factory.

One high note is that the Red Label shotgun is also available and listed at the same retail price ($US1399) as the No1s. These have been rare in Australia and horrendously expensive in the past. I would love one in 28" that would be a nice upland gun. I'll be very surprised to see them selling her for the same price as the No1.

Went back and took a couple of photos. Reasonable timber on RHS of rifle, packing case on the other! Handsome looking rifle. I must get all four together and take a group photo, haha!
