Okay guys, granted I didn't cast them myself, but I've got some Cast Performance,
.358 200gr WFN that I'm trying to run in a .357 Mag. The handgun(s) in question are S&W 586/686, so OAL shouldn't be much of an issue. As to powders I've got 2400, Blue Dot, H110 & AA #9 on hand. Has anyone played with this before?

The 200 grainer in 357 was a popular option in the heyday of pistol silouette. Speer made (makes?) 200 FMJ and lists data in their reloading manual. It is a quite detailed article. You should use a slower pistol powder- 2400, H110, 296, AA no. 9. Velocities are a little low 900-1100fps. We used to shoot steel action targets and the extra bullet weight was great for the falling targets. I eventually decided on a 180 grain bullet at 1000fps as the best compromise for me. The 200's I used as plinkers in a 35 Whelen. I think Alliant powder company has online powder reloading data with charge weight and OAL for 180 and 200grainers. I would look there first. Good shooting !!!
