I've been using the RCBS for many years, and I'm happy with it.

The antimony man theantimonyman.com has calibrated thermometers.. if you need fancy RCBS and LYMAN are good if you just want to check temp.........Dean

I bought a Lyman and it worked for one casting session and then quit working. I may have just got a bad one. Been meaning to call Lyman but havent got around to it.

I have an RCBS and am very happy with it. If I would of known it in time I would of ordered one from the "Antimony Man" Bill Furguson just because he is a good guy and supports this board, but I didn't find out he had them in time. :(

I have used two RCBS thermometers. Mine seems to read a little low, but is consistent. A friend has one that seems to read a little high, but is consistent. Just one more thing to learn in this art, nobody ever said it was an exact science.

it doesnt matter how accurate it is as long as its consistent ,repeatable & dependable!!!
ive used a cooking thermometer that stops at 750 & the dial is scorched but it works & i cast consistent boolits with it .
