Is there a possabillity of a gas check comming off and getting lodged in a suppressor the next shot destroying the can?

yep is is a possibility, but not a probability, but i do not shoot any lead bollits through my suppressors except the .22 rimfire which is unavoidable
the lead and lube will build up inside the suppressor and unless your can is made to disassemble you will not be able to clean it out and the lead will build up until the can is full
stainless steel cans can be cleaned with some highly toxic solutions but they will eat up an aluminum can

A definite possibility; but not probable IF the GC was properly applied. That said, I don't shoot lead through my suppressors. They all come apart; but getting lead out of the baffles is a royal pain. One area where j-words make sense. Even for suppressed 22LR, I prefer plated over plain lead.

I shoot lead (ww alloy) thru my liberty freedom 30 cal can regularly, in the form of 300 blk subsonics from a bolt action SBR with 10 inch bbl, and have had no apreciable lead accumulation to date. I do note lube accumulation in the blast chamber which is easily removed with hoppies... i dont use gas checks EVER with the suppressor. If one did come off, you would have a heck of a time trying to get it shook out with all of the baffels in the can..

I'm not worried about crimp on checks. The homemade ones might be another story.

Suppressor use seems to me to be the perfect application for powder coating boolits.

Got a 9mm can coming that I plan on using for both 9mm and subsonic 300blk out. Still need to get a mold for both.

No gas checks for mine. That lil can cost too much to tempt fate with it. I pc plain base boolits for use in the can. Was using Teflon taped boolits to avoid lube build-up before learning about pc.

I am powder coating mine. I shot 2 311365 198Gr. gas checked (Hornady gas checks)through the 308 @ 1,941 fps into wet phone books,@ 75yds the checks stayed on.
The one with no distortion was shot from a 300BLK @ 1,190 fps.
The boolits test 14 BHN on the cabin tree tester.
