I have a sufficient quantity of WW to use. I wish to alloy to 6.5 7 30 8 & 45/70. There is a foundry near Pgh that sells Sb & Sn. What % mix is best for these bullets.

Rotometal is a good supplier. SOWW will be ~ pure, COWW are harder. COWW or harder for 308/6.5, 50/50 for 45/70?

You want to get antimony already mixed with lead, say 30 or 50%. I tried adding antimony to a lead alloy when I lived in Pittsburgh and never was sucessful, even using a welding torch. I've still got ~2# chunk. Check with that foundry, at one time they had tin/antimony/lead alloys they sold. I don't hunt with cast but I do shoot them in my 30/30, 30/06 and 30 Carbine. I found that a 3/3/94 tin/antimony/lead alloy works fine for me. Others with experience can guide you better, and the 45/70 can use 2/3/95 or COWW alloy very well. You might try the search function for specific cartridges.

I use 50/50 wheel weights & pure lead for all of my rifle boolits. Air cooled with Felix lube.
