Favorite 3030 deer loads?

Wondering what you guys use for 3030 loads with a gas checked leec309170 f boolit? I am looking for a good deer load for this boolit that fills the case to avoid a double charge or hang fire . I will be shooting them from a pre 64 model 94 with gas checks. Thanks Craig

Hi Craig: Try 28 to 30 grains of either 3031 or 4895 under that 170 gr cast, should get 1,800 fps. IMR 4759 at 17 to 17.5 grs
will be about the same velocity wise. Very the loads till you find what your rifle likes.

With Lyman 311291 or 311041 anything from 25 to 30 grains (max) of IMR 3031 will shoot accurately depending on you and the gun. In my 94's my best grouping was with 27 grains. LLS

Yep, hard to beat 30gr. IMR3031. No filler needed - it is a full case.
