I have to preface this by saying I never win anything. Really, if I bet on it, you had better not follow me or we'll both lose. That being said, the other day I stumbled onto a real deal. A buddy was buying out an estate. All sorts of guns including an M1A he picked up for .....$600, yea, that's right. Anyway, along with a ton of other stuff came 50 reloading die sets, many unused. I got to pick 22 sets out of that lot along with a lot of 40 shell holders. Calibers range from 358 Win to 25-20 and the normal stuff like 30-30 and 243. Almost all of the dies are RCBS, a few are Pacific Durachromes and a couple are Lachmillers (don'tcha just love the blacking they put on their dies). One set was Texan. My cost?...zero, nada, zip zilch as in free. Shoot, the 348 Win dies are worth about $60 if you can find a set. maybe I should have bought a Lotto ticket too.

If I had been really lucky I would have been the one to score that $600 M1-A with bipod, r4ail and a host of other goodies.

Congrats omgb.

When you hit that one little gold mine just once, it makes the whole month. Heck, it makes the year. Enjoy your spoils and reload, reload, reload.

Take care Be safe Poacher.

Congrats on the goodies, once in a while I have gotten "scores", i.e. I have a distant hunting buddy who has lots of "connections", two years ago he gave me Dillon SBD, a SAECO Lubrisizer, two Saeco and one Cramer mould, 2.5 5gal. buckets of mixed bar solder, pure lead, WW, unknown alloy and linotype, 40# bag of Corncob media and a brand new pair of Bates USMC cold weather boots. I sent him close to 2K worth of boolits from the SAECO moulds. I still send him all of the 30-30,30 carbine, 45 LC, Federal .45ACP and 45-70 brass that I scrounge.
