Does anyone have any load data for a 550 gr FNGC bullet for my Marlin 1895 Cowboy? I purchased these bullets from Ranger Rick years ago for my 458 Win Mag and they didn't come with any load data. I sold that rifle but figured I could use them in my Marlin. On another forum someone said there was data in Lyman's Cast Lead Handbook but I don't have that one. I appreciate your help.

Will a 550gr boolit feed in a Marlin?

Will a 550gr boolit feed in a Marlin?

That is the first thing - with that boolit seated to fit in the rifle, does it bulge the case or will it chamber OK? If it will actually fit, use 4350 or anything slower to load it with. A full case will be safe, and if that kicks too much you can back off some. That boolit is going to seat so deep you won't get a very large charge of powder in there, so it's not going to go too fast but that's OK since it'll kick plenty.
