Looking for a 55 grain boolit for my 220 Swift. Borrowed an old Ideal mold that works well but I want one to own. The profile on the Lee Bator looks the same and is a 55 grain, .225 diameter. The Ideal is 55 gr. .224 diameter. Anyone familiar with the Bator?

Yes. I bought a 6 cav. Just a few weeks ago from midsouth. Very pleased with the mold. Drops out at .225"+
I have a couple hundred cast, sized, and lubed waiting to be loaded into .223 and .221 Fireball cases.

I have it in a 2 cav. And find it great in everything I've tried it in including 22 hornet, 222, 223, and 22-250 with velocities to 2300 fps.

Waco, that mold from Midsouth is a good price. Think I'll try one. Thanks

The Bators seem to shoot well for me in the 223 Rem and 22K Hornet.

I received mine from Midsouth a couple of weeks ago. It drops 50.3-50.7 grains with wheelweights and is a 6 cavity.
I already have the NOE that drops 46ish grains. Does anyone know of a similar style design that drops around 55 with wheelweight alloy?

I have the NOE rcbs clone (225-55 or something, flat nose) drops at around 60 for me, but my alloy is not pure WW. Would be lighter with COWW alloy, probably 57 gr. Great little boolit, likes to go fast, or load w/ 3.5 gr. BE for squirrels.
